Ingredients

1 1/4 cup mashed sweet potatoes
4 cups toasted bread cubes
1/3 cup chopped onion
6 link sausages
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. rubbed sage
1/4 tsp crumbled marjoram leaves
1/2 tsp. ground thyme
2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

Combine syrup, butter, rum and orange rind in microwave-safe 1 cup measure. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% power 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until butter melts. Pare potatoes and apple. Grate in food processor or on coarse side of hand grater. Spoon into microwave-safe shallow 2 quart baking dish. Add syrup mixture; stir. Cover with wax paper. Microwave at 100% power 8 to 10 minutes or until potato is tender, stir after 4 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
